        So you may believe in God, but when people present you with logical arguments to the contrary, how can you answer them? I wrote the book The Two Eternities just for that reason - this site is just a growing supplement to it. We have to be honest though, there are some questionable issues. By critically analyzing these, we can respond with facts rather than opinion. With that in mind let's start off from a cynical point of view;

        Everything we know is a lie - or maybe it's not...
        Starting with the assumption that every item is possibly a lie, we can determine standards of proofs, and begin to build a foundation of truth.

        When we delve deep, there is no way to avoid the issue of God, hence the name of the site; God QnA. Lady Truth is blind though, and doesn't care whether or not there is a God. It may be that our feeble superstitious minds can't get past the 'father figure' represented by a God, or there may be some truth to it.
        Here we will look for the truth and see what it adds up to.

The Core Belief (if there is a God);
        God wants us to know Him. This is the fundamental understanding of all religions that believe in a loving God. Based upon that, we are then free to look as deep as we are able, with confidence that God has not hidden the truth, nor lied to us.

Q. If God exists, where did he come from, and why are we here?

A. God came from an existence of 'no things' - God is All.
        When God branched out and created things, He developed the concept to include a form of independence, as we see in His Son the Christ, and the Angels.
        From this He took the next logical step and created fully independent beings, with a most unique characteristic - freewill. Unlike anything else, we humans have the freewill to choose to love God or to not. Through us then, God was able to create the one thing He can not create by Himself - freely offered love. In the end, it is us not God, that chooses whether we join Him or not.
        This is all covered in the section covering the Origin Issues.

Q. If we conclude that there is a God, and that the Bible is His inspired word, then how can we know that anything exists, outside of what is described in the Bible?

A. The Bible is either the word of God, and true throughout, or it's just a good story - there is no middle ground. The Bible nowhere claims though, to be the last word, or the full description of anything. It is primarily a collection of morality tales, with the intention to bring us to love God.
        Outside of the Bible, and even within it's stories, many many things exist that are not detailed. There are two major ones;
       The first one involves the two eternities that God existed in before our creation. These are barely even mentioned in the Bible.
       The second is the creation event itself. This was undoubtedly the most stupendous of all events relating to humankind, but it is covered in only a couple of pages.
        To be able to read between the lines; piece together the social environment, and day to day lives that the Bible skips over, we must look at the evidence left at our feet. For this we have the Science of Knowing section, which looks at how we know things.

        To learn more; to discuss or challenge these issues, please explore the pages offered here. To get a full grasp of the subject get my book The Two Eternities. The book acts as the cornerstone for this website, while the website acts a growing supplement to the book.
